IHCIS-2 Κύπρου

Datamed participates in the implementation of IHCIS-2, the new Integrated Health Information System of the State Health Services Organisation (SHSO / OKYpY) of Cyprus, in partnership with IBM and the OTE Group.

It is the largest IT project in the Cypriot public health sector, with island-wide coverage of all public hospitals and 45 Health Centres. It replaces the previous system, which had been operating since 2007 in only two hospitals, and extends digital coverage to the Organisation’s entire network.

What the project includes

At the core of the project is a Single Integrated Hospital Information System with an Electronic Patient Record, shared by all healthcare facilities. It is complemented by a unified laboratory information system that interconnects all laboratories, and an integrated Blood Bank management system covering the entire chain: from blood collection and analytical testing to the production of blood products and the distribution of blood components through the Blood Bank of each hospital.
