Patient Registries are organised systems that use observational methods to collect uniform data (clinical or other) in order to evaluate specified outcomes for a population defined by a particular disease or condition, and that serve a predetermined scientific, clinical or policy purpose.
Drawing on its experience in the Health sector and remaining true to its philosophy of patient-centred care models, Datamed designs and develops patient registries, incorporating all the necessary data per case for patients with common characteristics (diagnosis, implant, treatment, risk of developing a disease, etc.).
Datamed’s registries are an important source of the data required to evaluate clinical performance, health technologies or the impact of health policies at local, regional, national and, in some cases, international level, and make a decisive contribution to patient management, with full respect for the particularities of each case.
Leveraging both its tools for developing electronic health records and the subsystems of the hospital information system, Datamed is able to provide integrated solutions for the development of Patient Registries, having developed and maintaining, among others, the National Registry of Childhood Obesity and the National Transplant Registry.
